EXERCISES
EXERCISE 1 : SOUND DUBBING
For this task, we had to bring a muted video clip to life using sound effects. The clip we got was a 36‑second scene from Everything, Everywhere All at Once. Our job was to figure out which parts of the visuals needed sound — like ambience, footsteps, or even dialogue — and plan everything out first.
Mr. Martin told us to start with a spreadsheet, so we listed every sound we thought we’d need and organized them properly. Once that was done, we went online to find the sound effects and added all the links into the spreadsheet. This way, when we moved on to Adobe Premiere Pro, we already had everything ready to compile and edit smoothly.

EXERCISE 2 : SOUND SHAPING
For Exercise 2, we were tasked with creating soundscapes for all the given scenarios. Instead of using pre‑made effects, we had to record our own voice in our own language (around 10 seconds long) and then manipulate it in Adobe Audition to fit each situation.
The scenarios included:
- Voice echoing inside a bathroom/toilet
- Phone call voice
- Muffled voice coming from inside a closet
- Underground cave ambience
- Alien or orc‑like voice
This meant experimenting with effects like reverb, echo, pitch shifting, and EQ to transform a single recording into completely different moods and textures for each scene.
